What We Hand Over
Once the agreed work is completed, we hand over the project to you along with the required login details, files, access information and other agreed deliverables.
From that point, the project is yours to run. We're always happy to help further, but the responsibilities shift once handover is complete, and this policy explains exactly how.
Once Login Details Are Shared
Once the project has been delivered and login details shared, you become responsible for keeping those credentials safe and secure. We won't be responsible for problems or data loss caused by changes or actions made after handover by you or any third party, including:
Changes made to the website, code, database, design, plugins or settings.
Deletion or modification of website files or data after delivery.
Loss, sharing or misuse of passwords and login credentials.
Access gained by the client or anyone who received access from the client.
Problems caused by hosting, domain, plugins, APIs, payment gateways or other third-party services.
Hacking, malware, server failure or other technical incidents outside our reasonable control.
This also includes any resulting loss of leads, sales, revenue, business data or business opportunities arising from the situations above.
Keeping Your Data Safe
Once your project and access details are in your hands, keeping your own backup becomes your responsibility.
After receiving the project and access details, you're responsible for maintaining your own backup of important website files and data.
If you've separately hired us for website maintenance, backup, security or technical support, those services are covered under the terms of that specific agreement.
Any new changes, maintenance, technical support, data recovery, backup restoration or troubleshooting requested after delivery may be provided separately and may involve additional charges, unless already included in your plan.
Up To Delivery, and Beyond With Support
We stand behind the agreed scope right up to handover, and beyond it if you're on an active support plan.
Where We Stand
We take full responsibility for the work included in the agreed project scope, up to the point of official project delivery. After handover, our responsibility for the website and its data depends on whether you have an active maintenance, support or backup service with us.
By accepting the project and receiving the login and access details, you confirm that you understand and agree to this policy.
Whether you're mid-project or already live, we're happy to walk you through exactly what you'll receive and how to keep it secure.
